Not gonna happen in todays virtueless world. Godless. What needs to be banned first are traitors who are infiltrating Communism. By dealing with them porn will be better taken care of.

"Post-Hedonism", Spencer? You're joking, right? This is the most narcissistic, hedonistic time in America ever! But...to the declared question...I suggest the correct answer is, "No." I think there is little to recommend porn as a positive, but there is great danger in wanting to ban it. Why? Because banning anything creates an interest, and that is not helpful. Asking the Government to enforce either a ban or controlling it is a guarantee for disaster, because government NEVER does anything well...except, of course, for grabbing power and decreasing personal freedoms. So I would suggest getting the government involved is a non-starter. Is porn an abuse of the women involved...or the men? Since I am not aware of participants being forced to be in the business, I would argue that it isn't the public (or elites or government agencies) who should be declaring personal choices to be good or bad. As long as no one is forced, or "made" to watch or take part, perhaps it would benefit from benign neglect.

Ugh. I’m a huge fan of this site and of Seth’s writing. But this segment was terribly disappointing. Did Seth think about his opinion before the segment was taped? I must’ve heard “like” and “I don’t know” so many times —it obscured the discussion and a very important issue. I look to this site for cogent, enlightening discussions. This one was not. 😒

The most heartbreaking victims of porn are the women being exploited and the sheer number of children being trafficked to feed the vulgar appetites of the adults who don't care. There isn't a single positive affect on anyone through porn. It's completely destructive. Thank you for sharing this conversation.
