James wrote “ Marshall McLuhan said, rightly I think, that artists (as opposed to philosophers) are our early warning systems: they encounter and experience what the rest do not YET as a result of their explorations.” This sparked my memory.

A good example of this is George Carlin in his 2006 show “Life is Worth Losing”. He describes much of today’s regime around the 40 minute mark or so.

It’s strange to hear the audience laugh now.

The writings from all of you in this post were excellent and I spent most of my night sorting my own thoughts and boring my wife talking about political philosophy and it’s role.
