How did someone at the library would think: We’re a library, we should teach kids to read. You know what I know the perfect person...
Most people have an idea in their head about what a jobs is. An organization needs a task done so they hire someone who can do that task and do it well. This is not how it's handled at most organizations beyond a certain size. How effectively you can or can not do a task is way down on the list of qualifications. The primary qualification they are looking for is “are you the right kind of person”. do you fit into the "company culture" To the people doing the hiring, the job isn't about practicality. It's about providing support. These companies are mission driven. They want to support causes and in doing so, suport the right kind of people who share their mission. If there are no tasks that need to be done, they will invent entire categories of work in order to hire the right people. Every media company I've worked for is filled with an enormous bloat of unskilled busybodies who contribute nothing to the supposed functioning of the company, but these people get regular paychecks and a job title with cultural clout. These are not jobs. they are make work programs for a skill-les activist class who would otherwise have to figure out a way to support themselves. With fanatical support and cultural clout provided, these people can instead focus on their activism, and the company's mission is activism. Entire industries create and contribute nothing other than being make work programs to support “the right people”
So how do we go from that to dildo monkey? Dildo Monkey a beneficiary of the make work program. He was hired because he is the right kind of person. Here’s my guess on how it happened. Some NGO exists to support the (ever expanding acronym) community. They just got a big donation from Disney, Google or maybe it was part of the infrastructure bill. (drag queen story hour is infrastructure after all) wherever it came from they want to put that money to use. Part of their operations involves “community outreach” Maybe they’ve heard about how drag queen story hours pissed off those evil homophobes so they find a likeminded public library (probably not hard to do) and propose getting someone in the LGBT community to read to the kids. Who is this person in the LGBT community is he or she good at teaching phonics? Doesn’t matter. The kids are an after thought, this is about finding an activist to support. Maybe dildo monkey was wearing the dildo when they hired him, maybe not, who cares, he is on our side and he needs our support.
Is it that these people are trying to indoctrinate kids. Yes. Is it that they have a totally fucked up sexualized agenda that they think is totally cool for children to be a part of. yes that too. But these things still don't just happen. Most people can't wake up and be like, oh I think I'll indoctrinate the youth today, and then get invited to actually do it. Dildo monkey happened because of a society wide support structure that incentivizes and rewards the right people ( AWLF HR lady's, journalists, Antifa, BLM, and Dildo Monkeys) and punishes the bad people (You) If I were the Coke brothers or Peter Theil for a day I would take all the money I'm spending on lobbying and Washington and instead use that to creating a make work program for our “right people” entertainment industry is a great fit for the left because low skill and propaganda, but could be anything. Fuck it, it could be an architectural firm. Most of our right people may not have all the necessary skills, they may be down on their luck. Doesn’t matter, you only need a few actually skilled people. And with a bit of support and hell, maybe a job title with some cultural clout, People will rise to the occasion. Will it make money? I worked at a new media jouno news company for some time. No exaggeration, They lost hundreds of millions of dollars in a few years. They get blank checks from investors to this day. Its not just about the money, those blank checks are for “support”. There are millions of under or unemployed dudes out there that could use a little support, and wouldn’t mind being part of their own “mission driven organization” and it’s not so scary to speak out when people feel supported in `doing so.
